    Questions about chocolate fountains

    1. What type of chocolate do you use?

      We use SF Signature Fountain Chocolate. SF Signature fountain chocolate has extra cocoa butter which gives the chocolate a wonderful taste and lets it flow through the chocolate fountain beautifully with no need for oil. Nothing but delicious, real chocolate is found in our chocolate fountains and as our past clients can tell you - it is delicious.
    2. Will I pay extra for set-up, take-down, and/or travel?

      If you are using one of our "Full-Service" chocolate fountain packages, all of this is included in the price quote you receive from us. Our prices on the website include set-up, take-down and travel up to 20 miles from the downtown area. Our "Semi-Service" chocolate fountain packages do not deal with these items.

    3. I'm confused, what is the difference between "Full-Service" and "Semi-Service"?

      "Full-Service" chocolate fountain rentals are just what they say they are. One of our local, friendly chocolate fountain reps will come to your event, set-up the chocolate fountain, monitor it, tear it down and clean it up. You don't have to lift a finger when it comes to the chocolate fountain.

      Our "Semi-Service" rentals are for those in areas where we don't have "Full-Service" rentals. We ship you the chocolate fountain, 600 skewers and our easy directions for setting up and cleaning up the chocolate fountain. You can add SF Signature Chocolate on to your rental also. It also includes one-way shipping to your residence and/or business and three (3) days of rental time so you don't have to worry about returning the chocolate fountain immediately after your event.
    4. How many skewers do you bring?

      We have over 1000 skewers on hand for standard events (0 - 200 guests). For larger events, we will have extra on hand. Our "Semi-Service" packages come with 600 skewers (enough for appx. 200 people).

    5. Is your company insured?

      Yes, we have liability insurance. Proof is available for your banquet hall or facility. We always recommend that you require liability insurance from all your vendors for your special event.

    6. What is the deposit?

      We require a $200 non-refundable retainer fee to secure a chocolate fountain for your date. We do not hold dates without a signed contract and deposit.

    7. What else should I know about the chocolate fountain?

      We require that you provide a level table, an 120 volt grounded electrical outlet and the linens and decorations for the chocolate fountain. You should also have plates and napkins for your guests to use.
    8. Can I use the chocolate fountain outside?

      When it comes to outdoor chocolate fountain rentals, we will require a outdoor waiver form. We recommend that the chocolate fountain is completely enclosed or in an area where absolutely no wind would be able to reach it.

    9. Do you provide the dipping items?

      ***We now provide dipping items at an additional cost in the Seattle area.

      There are two reasons why we don't provide dipping items. First, if you can provide them yourself, they are extremely affordable for you to have available for us. You can generally pick up all the items for the chocolate fountain at Costco or Sam's Club. Our chocolate fountain representative will arrange them if they are on the table with platters. With all Sweet Fountains bookings, we send a list of our Top 20 items which include strawberries, marshmallows, brownie bites, cream puffs, pretzels and much more!

      The second reason we don't provide the items is at some facilities, they do not allow outside catering or food services. Usually the chocolate fountain is acceptable by itself, but not with the dipping items. Your caterers should be able to supply you with an even greater selection of items which could include fresh cut fruits and more seasonal items. Once again, we provide you a "Top 20" dipping items sheet to share with your caterer.

    10. Can I use the chocolate fountain in place of the wedding cake?

      Absolutely, many of our brides have chosen to move away from the norm and have replaced their wedding cake with the chocolate fountain. Click here to see the comparison between the two! We know that their guests have not been disappointed!
